A2 Advanced Portfolio: Artist Research - Post Three: Synergy and Marketing

'Bloc Party' has a consistant image through their conceptual music videos, album covers, and even on their official website. Both their album covers and their website displays artistic and conceptual photography. e.g. The album 'Intimacy' displays an extreme close up on two people with their lips about to meet.

Another example would for the album ‘A Weekend In The City’ a photo of an empty road located in an urban environment, at night.

These examples show that not only are the two albums similar, keeping up a similar image between albums, but also shows relevance to the name of the album itself.

The overall image seems to relate to a culture of both male and female consumers, aged 18 – 25. It tends to be relevant to the clubbing scene, which also fits the genre as they produce Rave/Rock/Pop music.
   On the ‘Bloc Party’ website there are links to iTunes Store, conveniently placed so that those who visit the website have access to where they could purchase their music. Websit link: http://blocparty.com/
