Performance Close-ups

We filmed two close-ups during the most recent shoot. We shot Connor, our vocalist in the Bloc Party band in our music video. One of the shots being a mid-close-up to capture the shoulders and the face. This was to capture the expressions of the singer, to communicate to the audience how to feel during the song. The other shot was an extreme-close up of the side profile of Connor's mouth singing the lyrics, this was to bring emphasis to the lyrics themselves and to give the impression of him shouting out, not to the audience but to a third party which could be seen as him shouting out to the girl in our music video.
